Sumo Day

Sydney had her Sumo debut this past weekend at Sumo day! I don't think we have to worry about her dating a Sumo wrestler because she told me she pushed the girl in front of her because she, "didn't want to touch his bottom". The day was so much fun, and the weather was beautiful. It was an opportunity of a life time and made us both so happy that we sent Sydney to Japanese preschool. Seika has such a history, this month they will celebrate 61 years as a kindergarten. They have had an affiliation with the same Sumo stable (training organization or team of Sumo wrestlers) for 25 years. This Stable has produced several or Yokozuna the Grand champions of Sumo. There was an opportunity for the audience to join in and fight. Harry decided not to join but this Gaijin did and actually won. They had a rematch, and the Sumo wrestler won that time. They had a tournament of the boys that are in the oldest class at Seika, and that was fun to watch. Many of the boys didn't really like the outfit, and it was fun to see them "adjusting" them. This is the warm up for the tournament, and please watch out there is big Sumo bottom in this video. Sorry there are so many videos, but we wanted Sydney to remember this day. We all enjoy Sumo so much and look forward to seeing it again before we leave.
