The Japanese stance
The Japanese rest like this all the time. Sydney has picked it up from
her Japanese school, and I caught a picture of her doing it the other day.
She has also learned to slurp here spaghetti noodles because that is
the way the Japanese eat long noodles. I am sure the Americans will
consider her rude, but here the louder you slurp the better the cook feels
about the meal. What fun!
