New Years in Venice...actually Tokyo!
Though Julia's chicken pox did make us ask our sitter a couple more questions like "have you had chicken pox?" we still ventured up to Tokyo with our friends for New years! After all we booked these rooms a year ago and we have been looking forward to it.
The New Sanno hotel hosts a great New years package every year and this year it was "A night in Venice", that explains the Mardi Gras like masks in many of our pictures throughout the evening. We headed up to Tokyo with our friends the Nelson's and after quite the fiasco of getting a parking place, we only waited 45 minutes, we got checked into the hotel and the celebration began! The Norwood's joined us soon after we arrived at the party and we all had a great night. We attempted to go to the Absolut Ice Bar after midnight but they were closed so we caught up with some a friend from Harry's clinic and had a few drinks in a nice little out of the way bar! We had a great time and started off 2009 by sleeping in which I can honestly say I haven't slept that well in 4 1/2 years! It was awesome!
We wish everyone a Happy and Healthy 2009, ours will be full of chaos but we are looking forward to it!
