Julia takes a step!
OK, so it was only one little step towards me, but both hands were free from
other objects, and I see walking in our near future. We were at the Norwoods' house, and Julia had been pushing Sydney around in this wagon. She then took a step from the wagon to me. It was fun and Diane saw it out of the corner of her eye so I wasn't hallucinating. She has stood with her hands up for over 10 seconds because when she does this I count, so it was just a matter of time.
This means that she will be more on the move than ever on the plane home, but maybe she will wear herself out more doing laps around the plane. It will also be more sanitary walking than crawling.
Julia is quite the climber. She has climbed the stairs, she stands almost every meal in her high chair, she will try and lift her leg over everything. She has also figured out that she has to get off the couch feet first. Harry saw it the first time and I thought it was just a fluke but she did it twice the next day so I guess she gets it.
We keep thinking maybe we should try weights in her diaper to keep her down but I guess we just have to go with it.
