Sydney's drawing!

All the parents were invited to school one day so that the kids could do a drawing of them. Julia and I walked down to the school one morning, in the heat and enjoyed watching Sydney and her classmates sing and draw. It was fun observing Sydney in her class environment. She will not always tell us what she does at school that day, but she is enjoying herself. While I was watching her I found that she does understand what her Sensei is saying in Japanese, though she doesn't speak much. Julia is quite the hit with the Sensei's; they all just love on her. This is Sensei Yuko or as Sydney calls her, the Sensei we can talk to. She can speak English and is whom I contact with any questions. Sydney's best friend is Loni, who is also one of the only other Americans in her class. They have lots of fun together. Sydney did a great job of drawing my picture. She also added little heads for Daddy, Julia and Sydney. This is Kondoh Sensei, Sydney's main teacher holding up her artwork.
