Can we keep Nikki and Crikki alive?

Yes, the names came from a 3 year old in our house, and I have no idea where from. These would be our new goldfish that we bought today. We went to a Japanese store, and with our best broken Japanese came home with everything we need to make a home for our new goldfish. Sydney has been asking a lot lately about when she can get a puppy. Needless to say, we have stopped reading "Fancy Nancy and the Posh Puppy". We have tried to explain to her that we would like a new dog also, but we have to wait until we return to the US. For a 3 year old that is not an easily understood concept. So here we are with 2 new goldfish. Harry and I are pretty sure that we will kill them and then it will be a new lesson on life and death. What fun! So we are taking odds on how long they will live with such novice fish owners.
