Happy New Year!

Harry and I took advantage of our new surroundings and spent our first New Years Eve in Tokyo. We joined 4 friends and ventured up to the largest city in Japan. This picture is of Harry and me in front of a shrine in Tokyo and the Tokyo tower. We went up in Tokyo tower with our friends and saw all
of Tokyo. The Tokyo Tower is 333meters tall and the tallest self-supporting steel tower. The Eiffel Tower is only 320 meters high, sorry Margaret! Then we found a nice out of the way establishment in Roppongi ( the party area of Tokyo) called Abbot's Choice. It was a wonderful first experience in Tokyo and since we found out how easy
it is to get there, we will definitely return. We had a little difficulty getting home due to the fact that only some of the trains where running through the night. We made it home though, and got into bed around 0530. Sydney had an enjoyable night at the child development center. They had a special opening for New Years Eve. She just played with other kids at school and thought it was a lot of fun. She slept well so I guess Sydney has had her first official slumber party. We made new friends from London, New Zealand, Portugal and of course, Japan at the bar that night and had many interesting conversations.
We hope that everyone back home had a wonderful and safe New Year and look
forward to seeing you all soon!
